"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jer 29:11

Oops - I forgot!

This is for you, Deborah.  Once you get off the plane in Beijing, you just follow the people from your plane a LONG way.  First you have to stand in line for letting the officials check your arrival card (which you filled out on the plane).  Then following the people again, you have to get on a train to get to baggage claim.  That part was confusing, but true.  The train takes you a LONG way and then lets you out.  Follow the people again to the baggage claim.  All the signs are in Chinese as well as English.  After that you go through the customs line "nothing to declare" and out the door where someone will be standing with a card with your name on it.  You can do it!!

  1. You all look so totally wide awake and excited and it looks like night time outside! How far is it from Chicago to Beijing? ( Give it to me in Yooper terms- time, not miles)

  2. Reminds me of my first time off the plane in Beijing when I learned that the bus drivers don't stop, slow down, or move for pedestrians!
