We made it!

After a very wonderful flight on American Airlines, we made it into Beijing late, late last night.  We didn't end up getting to our hotel until after 1 a.m.  And then we had to be up this morning for our tour of The Great Wall.  It didn't really matter, since we were all awake at 5 a.m. anyway! 






We had a fun time at The Great Wall, had lunch at a large restaurant over a jade factory, and then went on a tour of an old Chinese neighborhood called a Hutong.  Hutong means narrow street and believe me, those streets were extremely narrow.  We were driven through the Hutong on rickshaws.  The Great Wall was fun, but really cold and windy.

The other families here with our agency are great.  There are eleven families in all.  We total around 42 people.  Three of these families will be traveling with us down to Guangzhou.
