"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jer 29:11

We're not in Kansas anymore!

MeiMei is watching Spongebob in Chinese on TV right now!

We just finished another fabulous breakfast. That's one thing that I really love about coming here. We are on our way to a meeting with our agency where we'll receive updated info on Betsy and get the scoop on the rest of our trip.

Thank you everyone for all the encouraging comments! We may not be able to respond to every one, but be assured that we read and treasure every one!

To Karen: MeiMei is loving China! And to make it even better, she has paired up with the eight year old daughter of another adoptive family here with our agency. They have become inseparable so far! She loved the Great Wall - we explored all over and even found a real live camel!

Here's the camel. I wonder why he was there?

To Gael: it took 13 1/2 hours to fly from Chicago to Beijing! It actually was a great flight!

We missed our Chinese class on Wednesday, but we are taking every opportunity to practice our Mandarin. Yesterday we said "Good Afternoon" to several people, but unfortunately they looked at us like we were crazy!! I wonder what they thought we were saying!

  4. I was wondering who that little girl with Mei Mei was (in the picture Ray posted on Facebook). It's awesome that she has a friend! Love the camel. We have a picture of a donkey parallel parked in Guatemala.
