The children go to three different stations to be checked out. Height/weight, ENT, and checking for any undisclosed special needs.

Thank goodness Betsy is under two, or else she would have had to have a TB test. As it is, I had to sign a waiver that I will have her immunized within thirty days of being in the States.
After we were done at the clinic, we wandered around the island. I really miss staying there. In the past, most adoptive families stayed at The White Swan hotel on Shamian Island. We were there for MeiMei's adoption five years ago. The island is so peaceful and uncrowded compared to downtown Guangzhou.

I will be happy when Ray and the girls get back. It's pretty quiet and lonely here without them. I hope that they are having a great time!

Betsy is adorable!! Checking on you everyday and today three posts and pictures!! I would miss staying on the island too, so nice to walk around. We are so happy for you, Marla.
ReplyDeleteLove following you in China! I think Betsy is going to be fine.
ReplyDeleteMei Xi cried hysterically for a month when I gave her a bath. I actually used to get in the bathtub with her until she finally stopped being so upset. Mei Xi had also never had solid food and she was 2o months. Is the weather nice? Mei Mei looks quite comfortable in the photos in just a tee shirt. I hope you continue to enjoy this special time with your family. Kim D.
I forgot to say Congrats in my last post-oops! Betsy is a cutie-pie. Love the humor and remember you ARE a "seasoned parent." Maybe try a sink bath as an option as that worked for Lindsay. Trial and error I say. Enjoying your blog and I feel I am right there with you. Enjoy the rest of your journey and can't wait to meet the little one soon:-) Hugs, Kim & Lindsay
